Highlights from the World Snooker Masters 2025

The 2025 Johnstone’s Paint Masters, held from January 12 to 19 in our West Hall, delivered a week of exceptional snooker, culminating in Shaun Murphy’s triumphant return to the winner’s circle!

A total of 20 century breaks were made during the tournament, and for the first time since 2011 & in the Ally Pally era, there were no members of the ‘Class of 92’ in the Quarter-Finals.

Judd Trump has now earned more prize money in an individual season than any other player, beating Ronnie O’Sullivan’s record from 2023/24.

A 147 for the ages

One of the tournament’s standout moments was Murphy’s maximum break during his semifinal clash against Mark Allen, marking the sixth 147 in Masters history and the ninth of Murphy’s professional career. Rewatch below!

A double Masters champion is born

Shaun Murphy defeated Kyren Wilson 10-7 in the final, making this his second Masters title overall.
