Snooker’s biggest stars will once again be at Alexandra Palace in London in January for the Dafabet Masters.

Tickets are on sale for snooker’s most important invitation tournament and fans are strongly urged to book fast, following record sales last season. The 2017 event will run from January 15-22.

The prestigious tournament brings together the top 16 players in the world rankings to battle for a famous trophy which has been contested every year since 1975.

The BBC-televised event was won last time by crowd favourite Ronnie O’Sullivan, who thrashed Barry Hawkins 10-1 in the final to win the title for the sixth time, equalling the record set by Stephen Hendry.

Shaun Murphy, Neil Robertson, Ding Junhui and Mark Selby have also won the tournament in recent years.
