On Saturday 12 February 2022, boxing made its grand return to our Great Hall.

British promoter Eddie Hearn was at the helm, with the main event being the collision between USA’s two-time Middleweight World Champion Daniel Jacobs and Islington’s world-rated Super-Middleweight contender John Ryder. A lot hung in the balance for the North London native especially, as winning this fight would put him back into title contention.
The result? Ryder outlanded Daniel Jacobs 135-123 in total punches to win an upset twelve round split decision – seven rounds to five. Watch the fight highlights below and scroll for pictures and reactions:
