Boating Lake

The Boating Lake in Alexandra Palace Park features a fantastic fleet of pedalos, perfect for a fun and relaxing time on the water. It’s a great day out for everyone – whether you’re with family, friends, or on a casual date.

Each pedalo seats up to four people, and the Boathouse is located right next to the Boating Lake Café – currently closed for refurbishment and set to reopen in summer 2025. In the meantime, grab a bite from our pop-up food trucks or head over to the East Court Café to round off your visit.

Book your pedalo experience

Booking a pedalo is easy! Just choose the date and time that works best for you. We have a limited number of boats available, so we recommend booking in advance to avoid missing out. Please arrive 15 minutes before your time slot to ensure a smooth check-in and to make the most of your time on the water. Latecomers will need to wait for the next available session
When booking, select the number of people, not boats
Online booking is available on weekdays only. If you’d like to sail on the weekend, please head to the Boat House in person (first-come, first-served, subject to availability)
Booking available for sessions from Tuesday 1 July onwards only (weekdays only)
We keep half of our boats aside for walk-ins. If online bookings are full, head to the boathouse – we’ll do our best to get you on the water (subject to availability)
