As You Like It: East London Shakespeare Festival
Experience Shakespeare’s As You Like It like never before, within the beautiful outdoor setting of Alexandra Park, produced by the East London Shakespeare Festival.
This joyful, family-friendly outdoor production blends contemporary London culture with the Bard’s wit, romance, and secret identities. Rosalind, Orlando, and a vibrant cast of characters navigate love and self-discovery in a Forest of Arden reimagined as a lively festival of music, cabaret, and revelry.
This is Shakespeare for everyone; expect ELSF’s signature high-energy numbers, slapstick comedy, and audience participation. Alongside a community engagement programme with lots of opportunities to get involved. Don’t miss a magical evening under the stars!
A festival vibe is encouraged with gates opening an hour before the show, pre-show workshops, including craft workshops for children and BYO picnics welcomed.

Weather depending, there will be limited shade from the sun so please bring necessary equipment e.g brollies to shade younger audience members.

Location
This event is held in our Outdoor Learning Area, which is located near the Park Entrance on Alexandra Park Road. Please refer to our map for more detail or use what3words for a precise location.

Flower Garland Craft Workshop
Make and take your own festival headband home!
Pre-show workshop run by the actors: headband and garland making for our younger audience members or those young at heart.
Please arrive promptly as sessions will finish no later than stated end time.
Seating
There will be limited seating availble. Seats will be reserved for those that require them (e.g. senior citizens / those with a disability) and/or on a first come first served basis. Please email info@elsf.uk to indicate you will need a chair/s and we will reserve one for you (depending on availability).
For other audiences it is ‘Bring Your Own Seating’ – you are welcome to bring picnic blankets/cushions (to sit on the floor) or outdoor seating/camping chairs.
Dogs are not permitted.
Ticketing
Please bring your ticket confirmation or be able to show your ticket confirmation on a mobile device on arrival. Ushers will oversee entrance to the performance venue.
Tickets are non-refundable except in the event that ELSF cancels a performance, in which case, tickets will be refunded.

All weather policy
The event will go ahead in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe. In dangerous weather, we will cancel the show and tickets will be refunded.
Be sure to bring a brolly (in case of rain or sun) and some cosy, waterproof clothes and sunscreen.
