Jamie xx returns to Alexandra Palace in September 2024 as part of his newly announced In Waves tour.

Known for his innovative blend of house and indie pop, Jamie Smith, better known as Jamie xx, is an acclaimed record producer, remixer, and DJ. Born in London, he rose to fame as a member of The xx. The band’s debut album, xx, topped the UK Albums Chart and went platinum. Jamie’s solo career then took off with the release of In Colour in 2015, earning him widespread recognition and multiple awards. His collaborations with artists like Drake, Florence + The Machine, and Radiohead further cemented his status as a key figure in modern dance music.

Now, he’s back with his latest solo effort, In Waves (out 20 September), on which he manipulates tempo, rhythm, and pitch – swiftly cutting between sub-genres and decades, seamlessly layering Northern Soul, disco, garage, acid house, techno, tropicalia, hip-hop, funk, and the sounds of contemporary underground UK pirate radio.
