Letters Live
On the evening of December 4th, having sold out shows in Los Angeles, New York, Hay on Wye, Venice and London, Letters Live is closing 2018 in spectacular style with a one-off performance in London’s Oldest New Theatre.
Letters Live is a celebration of the enduring power of literary correspondence. Each show always features a completely different array of great performers, reading remarkable letters written over the centuries and from around the world. One of the joys of Letters Live is that you never know who is going to take to the stage or what letter they are going to bring alive.
The result is an event like no other and a truly unforgettable journey through time.
Letters Live has unearthed letters sent by the likes of David Bowie, Maya Angelou, Tom Hanks and Che Guevara and placed them in the hands of such luminaries as Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Jude Law, Anjelica Huston, Ian McKellen, Mary J Blige, Oscar Isaac, Thandie Newton, Tom Hiddleston, Sally Hawkins, JJ Abrams, Juliet Stevenson, Riz Ahmed, Kylie Minogue and many more.
