London Festival of Architecture – BBC Studio Tours
To celebrate the London Festival of Architecture 2025, we are offering people a rare glimpse of the birthplace of television with exclusive guided tours of Studios A & B. In 1936, the BBC made its historic debut at Alexandra Palace, marking a pivotal moment in the race to revolutionise entertainment with the invention of television. The BBC leased the entire East Wing, transforming former dining rooms into iconic studios. Our tours are led by passionate Alexandra Palace volunteers who collaborate across departments to protect and give voice to the rich heritage of this remarkable site.
Due to access issues the tours are not wheelchair, pushchair, or pram accessible. Tours are not accessible for those with walking difficulties due to several flights of stairs on the tour route.
Meeting point in the East Court.
