Sondheim on Sondheim, the musical revue honoring the legendary composer is coming to Alexandra Palace Theatre this October 2024. 

The performance offers an intimate portrait of the famed songwriter in his own words and music. Through exclusive interview footage, audiences get an inside look at the personal life and artistic process of the great composer, Stephen Sondheim.

His creative genius remained largely undiscussed, especially by the man himself, until the creation of this show. Ranging from the beloved to the obscure, the carefully curated selection of two dozen songs is woven with in-depth video interviews that explore Sondheim’s personal and artistic journey.

The revue features songs from nineteen Sondheim musicals, including well-known, lesser-known, and cut material from shows produced over a 62-year period. Musicals represented include West Side Story, Company, Follies, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Sunday In The Park With George, Merrily We Roll Along, Passion, Sweeney Todd, Into The Woods, and more.
