70 years after it first wowed and terrified audiences, Nigel Kneale’s The Quatermass Experiment is back at its home, Alexandra Palace. Originally broadcast over six weeks in the summer of 1953, the seminal but largely missing serial is finally brought back to life for this one-off, live reading using the original scripts.

The British Experimental Rocket Group’s first manned space flight returns to Earth with two of the three crew missing. Professor Bernard Quatermass must work out not only what has happened to the missing crew but also what *is* happening to Victor Carroon, the sole survivor. What he discovers has horrifying consequences for the whole world.

This unique production stars Mark Gatiss (The League of Gentlemen, Doctor Who, Sherlock) as Quatermass.
